As you inhale
it doesn’t take
your breath away
but makes it unknown
and unmoving.
Each of your steps begins
to scatter visions
to dissolving dots
of a mirage, and you arrive
to the place you meant to leave
yet you are further
from where you had pictured
yourself before.
